Open Hockey
DeForest Yards and LEGACY20 Arena DeForest are happy to provide regularly scheduled OPEN HOCKEY times each week on the indoor ice sheet.
OPEN HOCKEY on the outdoor ice sheet will be available in the coming weeks. These times will vary on a weekly basis and will lean more toward evening and weekends for skaters to enjoy.
The Registration tab (to the right) will allow interested parties to register for the OPEN HOCKEY sessions and view the upcoming dates and times.

Mondays 2:30 - 4:00pm & Wednesdays 2:30 - 4:00pm

When
OPEN HOCKEY times will be available between the months of November 2025 through April 2026.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Example: Practices and home games are held at the RecPlex. Games may be played across the metro region.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Example: Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
AGES
Skaters of all ages and abilities are welcome to join. The arena will provide pucks and nets for each of these sessions.
SKATES
We do have skate rentals available for youth sizes. However, we cannot guarantee to have your desired size in stock.
We will be ordering more sizes and options over the course of the 2025-26 winter hockey season.
HELMETS
All participants of any age are required to wear a protective helmet. Additional full set of protective equipment is strongly recommended, but not required for adults.
Minors under the age of 18 are required to wear full protective equipment.
STICKS
Participants are required to bring their own hockey stick(s) for each session. Hockey sticks will not be provided by the arena at this time.

OPEN HOCKEY
Open Hockey at DeForest Yards is open to skaters of all ages and abilities. Skaters are required to wear a helmet at all times.
Pucks and nets will be provided for users. Skate rentals will be provided when possible. Subject to availability.
Sticks and other protective equipment are the responsibility of the participant(s).
