About Us

Built in 2025 under the leadership of LEGACY20 and Cascade Development, LEGACY20 Arena DeForest was designed to provide a state-of-the-art arena for youth and USHL hockey players, including a training facility, NHL-quality equipment, and to grow the game of hockey in the greater Madison area.

Under the guidance of owners Ryan Suter and Luke Stauffacher, this arena will offer unmatched amenities for players, athletes, spectators, and visitors.

LEGACY20 Arena DeForest includes 2 NHL-sized (200’x85’) ice sheets. The indoor arena has a capacity of 3,000 and offers multiple full-service bars, a state-of-the-art training facility, 13 locker rooms, and two levels of viewing for spectators. The outdoor arena is covered by an open-air roof structure, allowing for hockey to be played throughout the winter months.

LEGACY20 Arena will host the Madison Capitols USHL team, numerous tournaments, holiday skating parties, and other community events throughout the year.
